Question #1:
I just recently started learning how to name organic molecules. But i came across one that kind of confused me. For example, C6H14. Im thinking this is an alkane because it has a single bond and there are 6 carbons, so it must be called hexane. But i checked online and its called 2 methyl pentane.
Im just wondering why its not hexane and how the name is 2 methyl pentane? I never even heard of 2 methyl pentane before. thanks :)
Question #2:
...removing a molecule of _______ in a reaction called _______?

Question #4:
I have to write a personal essay and i have an idea, my mothers car accident and how i took on more responsiblities i just struggle with the introductoin and what would be included in the body?
heres some of my ideas
April 21, 2002 that was the day my mother got in a severe car accident, and was badly injured with a brand new baby at home, she had just gone back to work 2 months before, with a newborn baby. She was un able to pick up the baby because of her head and neck injuries not to mention her arm in a sling. IT was like my own doll, thus creating the bond between me and my baby brother for the next year. I invited my friends over and we took turns taking car and bathing and dressing him up. My father had to work full because of my moms accidents, I remember taking my brother out to practice walking and I think I played a huge roll in his walking early because of the many times I took him out walking. I took on many repsonisiblies.
This changed my roll, played a strong roll keeping family together at a young age, makes me more caring I was leaned on by my family im a caring person and a solid rock in my family, when faced with family crisis I come to the rescue. My brothers have always learned to depend on me because im the oldest and they lean on me.
can anyone take the time and tell me what to put in the introduction and body thank u!!!

Question #8:
Back in January of 2010, I got arrested for the first time for domestic assault 2, I spent 12 hours in jail which was horrible, then about 2 weeks later appeared before a judge, and got it dismissed. Apparently in march the state picked up the case, and issued a warrant while I was out of state, and so now that I am back in the state where I was arrested and tried before a judge and the original case was dismissed, I was trying to get a job at a major retailer, but when I got a copy of my background check, it has a warrant for Domestic assault 2, felony class C, I have a $6,000.00 bond, or I can pay a bail bondsman $600.00, to basically make sure I dont spend weeks in jail, and to get a court date, or I can hire an attorney.
I dont want to do any of that. Honest to god, if I could go turn myself in, be booked and processed, and allowed to get out on my own recognizance and given a court date, I would, and if the judge at that time says you need to spend time in jail, or pay a fine, or be on probation, I would deal with the punishment. But I dont have $600 to pay a bail bondsman, I dont want to go turn myself in, and possibly spend up to 2 months in a county jail, waiting for my court date, and I certainly dont have enough money/ties to hire an attorney to represent myself. I have already contacted the prosecuting attorneys office, and the receptionist told me, that they could not speak with me directly since I was the litigant? but they could speak with a lawyer if I had one. I have called the local sheriffs office, and they said just come turn yourself in, and I have called local bail bondsman, and they need that $600.00, which is 10% of my bond. I need a job, to get that kind of money, and I have been turned down to a descent job that was gonna pay me $9/hour because I have this outstanding warrant. I know I want to do the right thing, I am innocent and want to be tried before a judge for what happened, but after that first 12 hours in jail, that was a real smack in the face of reality, I dont ever want to be in that position again. btw drugs, alcohol, instability had nothing to do with what got me arrested, it was a vengeful ex-girlfriend who attempted to forcefully take a cellphone from my hand, and in the process broke 2 of her fingers, somehow the cops that came to my house 3 hours after this happened, couldnt believe that a person can break their own fingers by forcefully trying to rip something out of someone elses hands. cop said "that doesnt jive", probably gonna remember that for the rest of my life, overall was a really good event in my life, I found god in that jail cell, and found a higher appreciate for my liberties that I took for granted before that time, I found what it was like to have no one in 1,000 mile radius who cared about you, and to have no money to get anywhere or call anyone, btw it was about 26 degrees outside when I released from jail in the morning with nothing but a white cotton t shirt and black pants and shoes on, was freezing, found sanctuary at a welfare office. Anyways, im a different person now, long story, but I am kinda stuck, I want to work, but cant, dont want to go back to jail, but want to be seen before a judge, want to live my life without the fear of being arrested, but dont have the money to take care of this conveniently without spending time in jail. Any suggestions that havent already been made clear by lawyers, cops, and bail bondsman?

Question #10:
I know what the breakdown is already of what portion of the test is what. I just was wondering if they had trick questions or something like that. The only place where I can find sample questions charges $20. Anybody know where I can get more info for studying for this exam? Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance! ^_^
Additional Info:
I have taken the required course and am trying to find suitable study material in addition to what I have learned already.
Question #11:
I've decided to adopt a dog from a kill shelter, but apparently "she doesn't like children".
She's a really sweet dog except for this one thing.
I'm going to adopt her despite this "fact".
She's only about a year old so I'm assuming that since she's still young, she can learn to at least be tolerant.
Does anyone know how to reverse her fear or aggression or whatever it is??
I do plan on taking her to obedience class to reinforce basic commands & to start the bonding process. I know how to establish trust with dogs & I have adopted dogs from the pound before.
On her evaluation report, it said she wasn't good around small children.
I'm in college therefore I'm hardly ever around kids. Even when I am I'd be sure to keep her separated if she turns out to be a biter.
Question #12:
Does one really matter more than the other if some sort of connection is there?
Question #13:

C the hydrogen bonding of water
D the ionic character of water
E the polarity of water
THANKS!
Question #14:
I'm having a very hard time with these questions can you look what i have over and tell me what you think? I'm not exactly sure what good answers are to some of these. all help would be greatly appreciated
2. (50 POINTS total) Another important real economic variable we consider in this homework assignment is the real interest rate. We learned that the real interest rate is the difference between nominal interest rates and inflation. In fact, there are two real interest rates: ex-ante and ex-post. Ex-ante real interest rates are the expected real rates where ex-post real interest rates are the real rates that were actually realized. An example is in order. Suppose one year nominal interest rates are 5% and you expect that prices are going to rise by 3% (i.e., your expected rate of inflation (πe) is 3%). Your ex-ante or expected real rate of interest is therefore 2%. Now suppose that over the year inflation wasn’t 3% but 4% instead (your expectation was wrong). That is, actual inflation (π) equaled 4% and thus your actual real rate, referred to as the ex-post real rate of interest is only 1%. Naturally, ex-ante and ex-post real interest rates differ anytime your expectations of inflation are wrong. To summarize, the ex-ante real rate is equal to i – πe where the ex-post real rate is equal to i – π. In general, it is the ex-ante rate that is most important since we never really know what the inflation rate is going to be so we have to guess and that is the all important expected inflation term (πe).
In parts a) and b) we use real data again and since we really don’t have information on inflationary expectations we will be using actual inflation and therefore working with ex-post real rates.
Please use the following data from FRED
CPI Price index (P) use CPIAUCSL
Nominal one year rates (i)GS1
a) Calculate the real rate of interest (ex-post) for the first year of the last 4 decades. In particular, calculate the real rate of interest from 1970 – 1971, 1980 – 1981, 1990 – 1991, and 2000 – 2001. Use the one year nominal rate in January of 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000 (we are considering whether we should save for a year or spend!) and calculate the rate of inflation from Jan 1970 to Jan 1971, Jan 1980 to Jan 1981, Jan 1990 to Jan 1991, Jan 2000 to Jan 2001. Show all work including your calculation of inflation (using price indexes).
i70=8.1i71=4.57i80=12.06i81=14.08i90=7.92i91=6.64
i00=6.12i01=4.81
PI70=37.9PI71=39.9PI80=78PI81=87.2PI90=127.5PI91=134.7
PI00=169.3PI01=175.6
π70 = [(39.9-37.9)/37.9]*100 = 5.28%π80 = [(87.2-78)/78]*100 = 11.79%
π90 = [(134.7-127.5)/127.5]*100 = 5.65%π00 = [(175.6-169.3)/169.3]*100 = 3.72%
r70 = 8.1 – 5.28 = 2.82r80 = 12.06 – 11.79 = .27r90 = 7.92 – 5.65 = 2.27
r00 = 6.12– 3.72 = 2.4
b) Using your answer in part a) above, when would it have been best to save and when would it have been best to spend (consume), all else constant? Explain.
It would have been best to consume in 80-81, 90-91, and 2000-01 because the real interest rate was positive meaning the same nominal amount of money would be worth less in the future but in 70-71 the real interest rate was negative meaning the same nominal amount would be worth more the next year giving people reason to save and hold onto their cash
c) Suppose we decided to save one year ago and purchased a one year bond in July of 2009. We cashed it in at the end of July, 2010. What was the nominal rate of interest, the rate of inflation (or deflation) and the ex-post real interest rate?
d) Ex-ante, that is, when we purchased the bond in July of 2009, our expected rate of inflation was 2% because that is what Ben Bernanke told us his inflation target was. What is the ex-ante real rate of interest and why does it differ from the ex-post real interest rate?
e) We discussed the evils of deflation in a central banking context. Why exactly is deflation a nightmare for central bankers? How can Central Bankers make sure they avoid the nightmare? Use the Fisher equation throughout and be very specific as to the ‘nightmare.’
The Nightmare of deflation is that when deflation occurs the money people have gains value this means people are much more likely to save and less likely to borrow money when you would have to pay the loan back with dollars that are now worth more. What it really comes down to is that the real interest rate as seen in the Fisher equation becomes negative. When the Real interest rate is negative and deflation occurs the economy will become stagnant.
Central Bankers have 1 real tool to avoid deflation, they manipulate the nominal interest rate to keep

Question #17:
Yesterday, sadly someone beat me to the punch and got in a relationship with her. I was talking to her and i found out while in the middle of the conversation about this so i thought what the hell i have nothing to lose and just came clean with her. honestly it felt like we bonded even more after that. i regret not telling her before because shes telling me stuff like i wish you told me before, its not gonna work out with the other person ( not even a maybe, she just straight up told me it wont work out), and she never said anything like sorry i only see you as a friend. When i said i know im too late she was like "i dont get it why are you too late" Idk if shes doing this just to make me feel better or because we have mutual feelings towards one another. While we were talking she also changed her fb status to the quote about never giving up on someone who you cant go a day without thinking about them. Personally i think she likes me more than this other guy, i can tell you shes insecure and maybe just gave in. But as we all know feelings like this blind you from the reality.

Question #19:
I have been doing this for a while twice a week (weather permitting) and it has been a great bonding experience with my son, not to mention the physical activity. I recall old memories of walking to school as a boy and I have noticed it gives him the confidence needed to succeed socially. How often do you walk your children to school, and how far away do you live from the school? We are 2 miles give or take a block.
It is great that more parents are engaging in this:
