Question: Something we can all agree on?

( Back )

Answer #1:

Educated sick people are no benefit to the country.

Answer #2:

This isn't about moving America forward or helping America this is about bringing America to its knees so they can rebuild it in their socialist image. Progressives in both parties are running the show pushing us towards an economic melt down they want us to be more like Europe which by the way is failing badly.

Answer #3:

Look at what we spend on schools now and kids cant read or write, more money will just go to politicians and bloated teachers unions

Answer #4:

The best way to improve education in America would be to get the government OUT of it.

Answer #5:

In 20 years at this rate the only education children will need will be for working in the health care industry because if we do nothing, it will consume most of our resources.

Of course we need to be competitive with the world market, but the rest of our competitors are spending less per capita on health care than we are, and that's all money that they can use on better education. Our health care costs must ALSO be competitive with the rest of the world as well as education.

The current health care system that we have now does not follow capitalistic or free-market models. If we as consumers think gas prices are too high then we start to take the bus, car-pool, ride bikes, etc and then by reducing our demand, we compell the gas companies to reduce their prices.

Health care is what keeps us alive when we're sick and injured so we can't reduce demand and thereby force the industry to reduce its prices. Basically they can charge whatever they want because we can't say no collectively and use supply and demand to reduce the price. We need to give ourselves tools to bring health care into the free market and get it to obey the laws of supply and demand.

Answer #6:

As you can see, plenty of "us" hope for a country where our hospitals are as good as our schools.
I find that a-f-in--mazing.
