Wall Street and The USA Economy - Investing Questions

Question: ETF recommendation? I've been looking at DIA. Suggestions?

Answer #1:

The one you choose should be your own choice. There are many to choose from--hundreds. If it were I, I would choose for long term growth perhaps IIF or IFN or CHN or TDF. These invest in countries where long term growth is much more likely than in the US. I own 3 of the 4 currently.

Answer #2:

SLV when it is below 16 is a pretty safe bet you will make money. Or so *I* say. I am not guaranteeing you will. But...

Answer #3:

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want an ETF of blue chip stocks then DIA is fine. If you want close to the average return of "the market" then us the S&P500 in SPY. If you want to track specific market sectors then there are a bunch that begin with X. Go to finance.yahoo.com and look for SPDR funds. Stay away from most funds that have high costs and low liquidity because they trade less than 100,000 share a day.
