Question: Would the WWE be on its *** if Cena left?
( Back )
Answer #1:
Michael Cole is a commentator and his opinion is just that, an opinion (I've heard him say "The crowd is on their feet!" and the camera angles show hardly anyone standing).
Cena is a top line superstar and well recognized for his contributions back to the fans, sure. But he is not the reason I watch RAW.
Answer #2:
It would really affect there profits due to him being the parents and children's role model, and rating would probably be the second highest blow. But they still have HHH, HBK and their other golden boys, Vince would just start raising the next young, super muscular star that he has in developmental. So of course it would put them back a few months, due to him being out of the story lines, but they have gotten the same ratings without him (Both his injury's) and they are never really affected when he returns.
Answer #3:
Well unfortunately WWE = CENA.
See all the posters of last few years PPVs, CENA is ALWAYS in the middle.
It's just he is popular with Kids and they buy merchandise like crazy.
The adult fan just want to enjoy a good performances and will but something here and there.
It is unwise to invest on just one thing or person.
But right now CENA is bring in the green and we all know how much Vince love the Green.
Unfortunately what kids do not understand is that it take the full roaster to make CENA look good.
Answer #4:
well i've not got somethin special in my answers .....................
cena is important for the wwe!
vince's soul lies within cena's merchandise!
i am a big fan of cena and i've never understood what kinda reactions cena actually gets!i's shocking to see crowd on their feet when cena wins and i even see stuffs like cuck fena.......cena sucks..........cena the superman.........cena ass got kicked!this leads me to a conclusion cena gets a mixed reaction!and i personally watch raw cuz of cena and hhh!but many stopped watchin raw cuz of cena!that's thier view and this is mine:
cena rulz! and vince is gonna suffer huge losses if cena leaves the wwe !!u see cena attracts kids .............kids buy 60% of the merchandise........and finally vince earns!this just goes like a food chain in simple words!
Answer #5:
The buisness was there long before Cena arrived and it will be there long after he's gone. Cena should be respected for what he does for the company but there'll will be others who will step up to that level in time.
Answer #6:
No Way! would lose all of lil kiddy fans but not the real WWE FANS! we have WAY WAY better WWE superstars than bloody Cena!
Answer #7:
Ok... here is the skinny.
Cena sells huge amounts of child-size merch. WWE's merch would significantly drop. But it wouldn't kill the show at all. Michael Cole is required to say that Cena is the reason, because he is supposed to upsell Cena as a superhero. Really, if there was a "specific person" people watch Raw for right now, it'd probably be The Miz. Not because he's an amazing wrestler, but because he is probably the most entertaining the federation has at the moment. He's thought so highly, that they gave him the tag team title, which has a prestige all of its own (since the holders can be on both shows, and that's definitely something you'd give only to someone who is a showstealer).
The Miz is popular enough that WWE is allowing him to be on both shows (along with Big Show to make him look legitimately threatening) and that says something for the character. In reality, no one watches for heroes anymore. The only reason watch the heroes is to see them MAYBE defeat the villains we've come to watch. That's about it.
Therefore, the only thing Cena does for the WWE is merchandise sales, just like Rey Mysterio does. Just like Randy Orton does. Just like DX does. All the WWE cares about is sales. The end.
Answer #8:
And you would be wrong, Cena is not on a 10 year contract! He has gotten injuried before and Vince did not panic! Vince is not investing in just one man! WWE was successful long before Cena exsisted and will be successful long after Cena leaves WWE
Answer #9:
Yes, they would.
I guarantee you if Cena decides to leave, they will offer him a raise to stay. They will do whatever it takes to keep him.
